1. Summary

FluoPDF provides browser-based PDF tools. We do not store your documents. The vast majority of your files never leave your computer — only the text of files you explicitly run through a cloud-processing tool (AI Assistant, OCR, Translation) is sent for processing and is not retained.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: email, name (optional), and a password hash (handled by Appwrite Auth).
Subscription data: your plan/trial status and renewal date (no card details).
Usage data: a daily operation count for quota, plus anonymous page views.
FluoLock metadata: if you sync a lock, we store its record (never the file or password).
Payments: processed by Creem; we never see or store your card details.

3. FluoLock™ Encryption

With FluoLock, your password is never sent to a server. Key derivation happens in your browser and only encrypted data is stored. If you forget your password, the file cannot be recovered.

4. Third-Party Services

Appwrite (Auth, Database, Storage) — self-hosted on our infrastructure
Creem — payment processing (Merchant of Record)
OpenRouter — AI processing for the AI Assistant and translation features (Pro)
Analytics — anonymous usage measurement

5. Your GDPR & CCPA Rights
